I know he gets criticised but I always enjoy Wolfe's work and his gift for commenting on contemporary life through his characters and plots.
Back to Blood gave me an insight into Miami and the clash of cultures there but I don't think it's up there with his best work - felt too similar to Bonfire of the Vanities.
