The Other Einstein by Marie Benedict

Read for book club.
Not really my kind of book — I think I’d rather a biography. However, I certainly did learn a lot about the Einsteins and their moves, children, etc. While the facts of the dates and places are undoubtedly accurate, the insinuations of motives, intentions, etc. left me feeling a bit awkward: I have an opinion of Albert Einstein that is based on speculation. This bothers me.
I can certainly believe that a woman’s contribution could be erased by the prevalent culture, and am sure this happened many times in history and is still happening now. I do appreciate the awareness of this and hope that I can be sensitive to it in my own life.
