The X Ingredient by Roslyn Sinclair
3.75
I love an age-gap romance. I love getting to know what turned an ice queen into an ice queen. And I love watching the TLC that finally makes them thaw. The X Ingredient delivers all of that, plus some well-written spice that doesn’t feel excessive or unnecessary.
What did bother me was how their relationship started. The elevator scene—and what followed—felt too abrupt, making it hard to suspend disbelief. It wasn’t enough to ruin the book for me, but I wish their initial connection had been handled differently.
Other than that, this was a great read about two people who have spent years building walls around their hearts, only to meet the one person capable of tearing them down.
