Ender in Exile
by Orson Scott Card
I enjoyed this book. Definitely not for anyone who hasn't already read most, if not all of the other Ender books, since all of the action in this book happens between chapters 14 and 15 of Ender's Game and makes references to many of the other Ender and Shadow books. However, if you are an Ender fan, this book does a good job continuing the mood and philosophy of the previous novels. Ender has won the formic war and really can't safely come back to Earth - the various nations would most likely try to kill him to keep any another nation from getting him. He is therefore relegated to helping colonize the conquered formic planets and monitor the events on Earth from afar. It was a little too corny at the end (typical Card), or I would have given it 4 stars.
