House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas

As I'm reading a lot of reviews it's very apparent people rated this book before reading or with no intention of reading this book. That's wrong whether you rated one or five stars. It grinds my gears to see it.

I have read 1,000 page books that felt like 2,000 pages. I've read 300 page books that feels like 1,000 pages. This is the first experience I've had reading an 800 page book and wanted more. Definitely the first massive book I've given 5 stars to because I tend to always get bored if it's over 400-500 pages.

I was never bored.

Anyway, this book was a wild ride and is one of the few books that have emotionally destroyed me. There have been very few books I've had to put down to take a breather because I couldn't stop crying.

I love every single character, good or bad. Bryce is a sassy badass and probably one of my favorite characters of all time. I've read only a small amount of books where I feel deeply connected to a lead heroine.

This was my first SJM book and I will now be devouring the second!
