When looking up this book, it kept mentioning is was a retelling of "The Goose Girl" form the brothers Grimm...ignore that. The story is much more enjoyable when you think of this book as it's own story. It builds anticipation for when a 'Karen' gets her comeuppance. When a sorceress comes calling, you shut the fucking door.
