Beautiful Nightmare
by Giana Darling
This is book 2 and cannot be read as a stand-alone. If you haven’t read Dangerous Temptation yet go start there and then come back.
Beautiful Nightmare picks up right where DT left off. Bianca is feeling betrayed by Tiernan’s secret and now she’s stepped right into the awaiting arms of the Constantine Monarch, Caroline. But will she be her savior or her ruin. If she ever found out the truth of Bianca’s lineage she would be in grave danger in Caroline’s hands. No longer trusting Tiernan’s intentions she plans to remove herself and Brandon from his influence permanently, but she can’t help thinking if the Devil she knows is better than the Devil she doesn’t?
Tiernan is well aware that he’s messed things up good this time. He has rearranged his priorities to put his new family: Bianca, Brandon, and the Gentleman first and revenge plans second. When he gets some unexpected allies things start to come together but he still needs to convince his sweet little thing to trust him again. Can these two come together to overcome their enemies together? Will they finally find the acceptance and love they have sought their whole lives for or will their circumstances keep them apart.
Okay Tiernan completely won me over. His character evolution from complete in Bad Dream to this gorgeous strong man in BN was just perfection. Bianca also really came into her own. No longer the gentle dove but now a strong BA fighter. She will do whatever it takes to protect those she loves. The steam in this one was smoking hot. Their initial reunion scene was everything we needed from these two. I love how despite their large age gap their relationship ended up being balanced perfectly in the end.
My only wish is that those who hurt our MCs had gotten worse. I think they got off easy compared to what they dished out though I understand why it was important for Tiernan’s character growth to have things end the way they did.
I really enjoyed this duet and if you love an age-gap, guardian- ward dark romance you will love this duet as well.
