I think easy read & great book get confused a lot. I love Freida books for what they are: fast paced, easy reads. 

Was this groundbreaking? No. 

Is it overhyped? 100%

I enjoyed my time with this book & it was a nice fast paced read in between bigger books. 

I feel like the “twist” wasn’t twisty enough. I was lowkey thinking it was going to be crazy like the daughter did the killing or something way out there. I honestly was going to rate this higher but the ending really fell flat for me. 

Would I recommend? Maybe? I read it because I want to see the movie when it comes out. So if you plan to watch the movie, yeah you should read the book.
