This had so much potential! Dark Pirates of the Caribbean with sex?? Sign me up! But then it just... flopped. The writing is fine, but in desperate need of another round of editing (seriously, indie authors, you have the power to do this). There was no smut at ALL, despite the long lead up to it, and the latter half of the book felt incredibly rushed. There were three huge plots in this book, and they were all crammed together to become one mediocre story.

Let's see if book #2 gets better...
