Elsewhere is a heaven type place where you go after you die. Except you age backward and once you're a baby you are sent back down to Earth to be born again. Such is the fate for the protagonist of this story, Liz. 15 year old Liz dies in a car/bike accident and finds herself on a boat to Elsewhere. Throughout the book Liz struggles to come to terms with her death. She spies on her family down on Earth and laments over the fact the she will never be able to do certain things such as drive, get married, have kids, etc. Then she gets a dog and meets Owen who felt as she did when he first got there.
While reading this book I felt myself wanting there to be some kind of romance between Liz and Owen. And there was....for awhile. But then in the 3rd part that kind of disappeared and the book focused solely on the fact that they were "growing down". That kind of disappointed me but overall this was a decent enough book.
