Omg! When I saw that this book was 972 pages my first thought was that it had to be full of filler content to be that big and so I was not expecting it to be as good as the first book. IT WAS BETTER! No filler content to be seen, everything that happened had a place and a purpose. You seriously have to be an imaginative genius to write something like this, it’s amazing! Darien is by far one of the best MMCs I have ever read, he’s is definitely a favorite. All these TikToks of people choosing which book boyfriends they’d bring to a fight and I’ve never seen Darien Cassel, wth is that all about?! This book had me in my feels, such a wide range of emotions; happy, sad, scared, laughing, mad, you name it. I love his relationship with his devil family, but his friendship with Malachi had me cackling. Does he have his own book? He definitely should. Both books so far have capitalized so much on Loren being human and now, a human with magic. I keep holding on to hope that somehow that will change. I mean her and Darien are forever right? It has to! Though, the news that Darien just got - well let’s just say we ride at dawn if it happens. On to book 3 and I really hope it doesn’t wreck me.
