Brother of the King Consort by Amizah R

This is definitely the best book in the series! Cassian and Salem own my heart at this point; their relationship was the cutest thing ever with how they learnt to understand and communicate with one another.

I also really enjoyed their character arcs and how they grew from the people they were in the first book - with Cassian dealing with his father’s abuse and Salem with her hearing. I also liked the way the High Council worked, apart from Deianira and Cade that is. It’s not that I hated them or anything but I did find them really annoying when they reprimanded the others for basically wanting to do exactly what they did - protect their family.

I liked the Patriam plot but honestly, I completely forgot about it sometimes because it wasn’t mentioned as much in the middle of the book as it was in the other parts as if the characters also forgot about it even though their lives were in danger!

Like I said in the beginning the best book in the series even though it is far from perfect.
