A fantastic read. I’m a bit angry that this isn’t a book most students are made to read in classes, because it shows what it was like in the early 1900s (and from a Black point of view no less) but complicates everything. I also thought the ending was brilliant, though that feels weird to say if you know what the ending actually is. It left me thinking but also felt in-character.
