We Are Legion by Dennis E. Taylor

5.0

I expected to be a quick read and didn't have very high expectations. The book was far better than I thought it would be. The author had clearly done his research in both planetary science and astrophysics. The transition of the main character from cryogenically frozen human to artificial intelligence was plausible. As I got further into the book, it was more challenging to keep track of the Bob forks/clones but the author was able to get me all the way through. It was clear that the author was more Star Trek than Star Wars (but pleasantly so); there were references to Aliens and other SciFi movies as well. My only "nit" was a reference to FTP (rather than a secure copy protocol like scp).
