City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare

adventurous challenging dark emotional hopeful inspiring mysterious sad tense slow-paced

every finale of a cassandra clare book series is something you should always watch out for. this one was a reread (i read this in 8th grade) but i can’t remember a thing from it. i loved how adventurous it is, how tmi gang is so pure and reckless (it seems age appropriate!). i loved the twist and i love sebastian’s wickedness, he is tsc’s one of the best, if not the best, villains. i loved how after the climax, we got a closure of what happened to everybody without rushing the denouement. it was awfully slow and the tid crossovers did not help with my emotions.  the six books of tmi was a rollercoaster adventure that brought me high school nostalgia. i’m glad i reread it before entering tda ❤️
