El laberinto de los espíritus by Carlos Ruiz Zafón

4.0

I’m giving this one four stars even when it left me completely drained after reading it.

As you probably guessed if you’ve read other books in the series, this is the book that resolves the entire story and brings everything together. It does that at the same time that introduces a main plot related but completely different than any story in previous books.

Like always, you submerge into the story through the beautiful, witty language the author employs with little brushes of humor. For the most part, the book is very enjoyable to read.

And I say for the most part because this book is way too long, and there is a lot of it that could’ve been skipped and not included in the story. The last part of the book has no business being there and contributes nothing. It just creates a book that takes around 30 hours to read. Brutal.
