I loved this book, I never read The Hunger Games before so I read it very late way past the height of its popularity but I’m glad I experienced it when I did! I was able to analyze the content of the story and all its metaphors which greatly changed my entire experience while looking at it — for the better!
The writing was so easy to follow along to, making the time fly away as I blew through it. I can reread it 20 times over and enjoy it every time.
All the characters felt so real, and I loved being in the perspective of Katniss. It never felt like a drag to listen to her narration or recalling of events. As I said, it flowed very nicely! The dialogue was very good too!
Overall, I loved it and I love the books following this in the Hunger Games series even more.
