Snuff by Terry Pratchett
3.0

While any Pratchett book is bound to be good, this latest Vimes effort is not as good a read as, say night watch or even Thud. The thematic of rich/poor relations and oppression of the'other' is a very 'now' subject and Vimes and his slow evolution from drunkard to Duke and family man is always entertaining but... I don't know, what is there left to be said on the subject? How about new characters or Perhaps secondary characters elevated to leads?
The book also felt a bit unhinged. While I am by no means a stickler for a traditional plot structure, the second half of Snuff just seemed... Rushed and malconstructed. Ah, well.
In any case, if you are a fan of Pratchett, do not miss this one. It's another act in the Vimes saga, a glance into the Morporkian countryside and, well another Discworld book. That alone makes it worth your money.
