The Rainmaker
by John Grisham
There isn't much unique about this John Grisham novel. Grisham tends to be anti-corporation, anti-big name lawyers, anti-bully in his novels and this is no exception. However, I really enjoy these storylines, so I enjoyed this book. I'm a sucker for little guys winning over the big guys. I love it when the underdog wins it all. There did seem to be a weird sub-storyline with Rudy and Kelly. I think the story would have been just as good (if not better) without it. I suppose it humanized Rudy, but I think that was done better with different parts of the story.
