Oh my heart. This was such a wonderfully told story. Loss, tragedy, strength, courage and forgiveness. Zoe suffered from the deeds of her parents, while the weight of the sacrifice by Nix’s parent kept him from wanting to take on his birth right. These characters grew and overcame so much. I cannot wait to read the next installment of their journey together. Will they restore their friendship? Will it develop into more? Is Nix’s sister alive and well? So many questions remain unanswered. 

This story was filled with everything you need in a fantasy novel. Magic, elves, dragons, secrets, redemption, and so much more.  Please give this story a try.
