The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank

5.0

Anne Frank is an optimistic young girl that can do just about anything she sets her heart to. Anne's diary gives you an inside look on her feelings during WWI, and how she felt about being in hiding. In the beginning of the book Anne names her diary "Kitty" which mosts people seem to forget. So, every entry begins with "Dear Kitty". The way that Anne's diary is written shocks the reader in such a way that it does not seem like a thirteen year old girl. Anne's interpretations makes her seem older than her age, but she is very mischievous. Throughout Anne's diary she always reminds herself to see the good in people and to be her own person. Therefore, I would recommend reading Anne's diary for anyone looking to see a young Jewish girl's point of view,in hiding, during WWI.
