i think this book did a great job at really painting a clear picture for each scene, which was gorgeous. i love that it kept up with feyre painting ideas. it was SUPPERRRRR slow to start and action packed for sure. it mainly takes place during war or in preparation for war.

i loved how it took me through a rollercoaster of emotions but the plot felt sort of unrealistic?

</spoiler\>how do all these people die and all and yet all of the main characters are left unscathed from the war ? like with Rhysand and Amren  at the end of the book. as much as it would've pained me to lose any of them why did all of them survive? im not going to lie, i literally sobbed reading that he died but as soon as they started giving the light i was like ?!? WHAT. played w my heart for that</spoiler/>

i will say i did enjoy all the plot twists and i was shocked at almost all of them. this book was really good! the second one is still probably my favorite, but this was still a great read.
