King of Hollywood by Fae Quin

I REALLY enjoyed about 70% of this book. It felt like not a lot happened in the first half, but I didn’t mind so much because Marshall’s inner monologue was amusing as hell, and the situations between him and Felix were funny. Had me cracking up like crazy. I stayed up until 4 am reading this, and read 80% of it in one sitting.. you don’t do that with a book that is just “meh”.
But none of the plot actually happens until the last 20% of the book, and at that point it felt a bit rushed, and there were a few loose ties (I skimmed the epilogue so maybe they were tied up there?). This would have easily been a 5 star read if it didn’t take so long to reach the main plot, and if she had spent a few more chapters talking about things like Marshall’s past, or his serial killer adventures. Like, why have a serial killer but leave out them doing actual crime..?? Again, unless I missed it? But something like that shouldn’t be easy to skim over.
