This is the third book in the Seattle Serpent Series. I hadn’t read the previous two books although I intend to because the guys in this book are hilarious. (However, not reading the previous books did not affect the reading of this book.) The text conversations between the players are very funny and give you an insight to their personalities. Adam is a hockey player who has lived the bachelor life for a while and likes it. But, suddenly he is entrusted with his niece and ha# full guardianship of her. Flora is a very bright but, quiet subdued child. With hockey season about to begin Adam desperately needs a nanny to watch Flora while he works. This is where Quinn comes in, her mother owns the bakery where Adam takes his niece for breakfast everyday. Her mother suggests Quinn, since she has just lost her job. Quinn is a screwup. Out of her 5 siblings, she can’t seem to keep a job, she’s late on her rent, her car is in the shop and she seems to go from one mishap to another. Now Quinn is living with Adam and before these two know it sparks are flying and there is an attraction. Adam loves the way she is bringing Flora out of her shell and these two both have a lot of emotional baggage that they need to deal with and get rid of. I loved how they helped and complimented each other. Great story of two people finding each other and love.
