Let Your Hearts Be Light was definitely the most adorable holiday story I’ve ever read - it was full of holiday magic, hot cocoa, delicious steam and all the sweetness!

Baxter was totally adorable, a sunshiny baker who was pretty much the opposite of Paxton, the grumpy lumbersnack. Paxton was a bit hostile towards Baxter at first, mostly because of his sunshine personality, but he quickly changed his behaviour once it became clear that there was a lot more to Baxter than what he showed outwards.

It was so sweet to see the way that Paxton took care of Baxter and how aware he became of his struggles. My heart just melts every time the grumpy character becomes soft for the sunshiny one, and Paxton was such a goner for Baxter. These two had amazing chemistry, and I liked how they almost acted like teenagers at times. So freaking adorable! Once they gave in to their mutual attraction, things quickly got hot and steamy - and I’ll never look at a bowl of icing the same way again…

I really enjoyed seeing these two families get to know each other and how well they fit in with one another. I liked that the kids were teenagers, and there were so many sweet interactions between the dads and their kids. The character developments were great, both Paxton and Baxter’s, but also the kids'.

Let Your Hearts Be Light was a fantastic and adorable story that truly made my heart feel light and happy! Even if it was a story full of warmth, humour and holiday magic, it still had depth and layers to it. The hurt / comfort and grumpy / sunshine tropes were perfect for this story and I loved the way it was written. I highly recommend adding this book to your holiday TBR!
