This was my pick for first #bookishbingo2022challenge hosted by @ramblinhamlinbookblog. It also fits in with #inkdrinkersjan22 #snowedin reading challenge hosted by The Ink Drinkers blog cohosts @readingwithchris and @sadaleywrites! A 2 for one and I’m all here for it!
A true page turner that kept me guessing. Usually about halfway into a thriller I’m figuring out the end and I found it refreshing that this one, left me a little surprised in the end.
Not only did this hit all the marks I want hit in a 5 star thriller read, it also hit marks in a genre I love, Fantasy. The magical realism in the book allowed for a new spin that only added to the plot.
Told across multiple POVs, something I usually struggle with due to my dyslexia, I found this only adding to the anticipation of the story’s end. I had to resist numerous times skipping ahead to chapters to see where things were going.
This may be my top read of January 2022
