A shatteringly intense, beautifully penned novel about love and growth, whilst living under the pressure of a homophobic town and family. Experiencing strained family dynamics, self-hatred and peer pressure from an imposing friendship group, two lonely souls who find each other. Both are complicated women who are irrevocably tied to one other.
Howarth addresses complicated situations and relationships with nuance and depth, through prose which contains some of the most beautiful expressions of love I have ever read. The writing is tactile and precise; a thoughtful and deep exploration of her characters and their struggles.
