As a Patrochilles fan, I was not sure what to expect from this retelling of the Trojan war, especially with Briseis as the main character. This novel is devastating at times, dealing with grief at the loss of life and the enslavement of countless women. I thought it was brilliant viewing the clash between the Trojans and the Greeks from the female perspective. Definitely check content warnings before reading if certain themes may trigger you!
