If I could give this 0 stars, I would. Pretentious, bland, a product of its time.
Not a fan. Wow, updating this so it sounds less ... caustic.
I had to read this in college, and wasn't thrilled when I read it. I do think it's pretentious and bland, and all the above, but that's not to say that all of Ms. O'Connor's writing is that way.
Also if you like it, that's fine. :)) I just didn't. I know a lot of people who love the book. I'm not one of them.
