I’d never heard of the Osage murders before this but I’m really glad I read this book. Anyone trying to further the process of reconciliation, regardless of Canadian or American origin, should read this book.

There’s a lot of similarities between the policies US and Canada had regarding indigenous peoples. But there’s also a lot of stark differences which were interesting, as a Canadian, to learn.

It astounds me how ruthless people can be towards people who are different than them; as well as how lawless the US was and probably still is. Why must we continually screw over the folks who lives here before colonization? 😔
