I actually really liked this book. As confusing as some of the allusions are, when you look them up to understand them, it adds so much more depth to the book. Billy Budd, the sailor of pure good (and a little innocent) is faced with the consequence of a choice he made. This book makes you feel feelings on account of Billy's wonderful soul. I give it a 3.8
