A Espuma dos Dias by Boris Vian

3.0

This was, probably, the most peculiar book that I have ever read - houses that shrink, objects that change composition (carpets that started out as made of wool end up being made out of cotton, for instante).

The story follows Colin's life, however, I didn't feel connected to it. It may have been because of all the strange things happening, but I just didn't feel the story was headed somewhere. I felt there was no purpose in this book, no concrete storyline.

I ended up in the 3 stars ranking. I usually give 2 stars to books I find boring, and, despite all the strangeness, I didn't find this book boring, however, I didn't find it memorable. It's the perfect fit for a middle ranking.
