This story follows Bennet Taylor whose life is devoid of passion as she is grappling with the passing of  her first love.   Bennet's friend/roomate wants her to embrace a zest for life again so she sets Bennet up on a blind date. The blind date never begins due to Bennet being stricken with a bout of crippling anxiety.Hours after the blind date debacle, Bennet has a second chance encounter with Henry Adams where she makes a boozy declaration that she is not ready to date. Upon hearing this Henry leaps into action and agrees to help her reignite her passions. Every Saturday, they’ll try something new in New York City. What begins as a lovely friendship may blossom into more then they imagined.
Oh my gosh I loved this book! The writting style is similar to Cara Bastone who is one of my favorite authors. I am not asshamed to admit that I have a slight crush on Henry. He seems perfect. The wedding debacle gave me secondhand embarssement I will read more books by this author, I can't wait to see what she writes next.
