ADORABLE. Cal and Elle were too adorable. I loved them and their romance so much. Elle didn't have good feelings towards Cal at the beginning and I loved Cal's confusion and desire to make her like him. Cal has had a tough few years and isn't always the easiest person to like, so his trying to woo Elle was too cute. Elle falling for Cal all over again was so sweet. His grumpiness to her sunshine had the best balance. These two were perfect for each other.

Besides falling in love with each other, these two characters had a lot to prove to people around them. Cal had to learn how to make friends with his teammates and how to let Elle in. Elle had to show her family that she was capable of taking care of herself and making decisions on her own. They both grew so much throughout the story. I loved how they each blossomed.

One of my favorite things about this book were all of the side characters. There were some of Cal's Central State teammates we've met before and Elle's brother and best friend. There were also Cal's uncle and the rest of the bar staff where Elle worked. They were like an extra family for Cal and Elle and their support made this story stronger.

Honestly, there wasn't anything I didn't love about this book. It was exactly what I've come to expect from Jaqueline Snowe - fun. There were some tough, emotional parts, but they didn't stop all the swooning and happiness in the end. I loved Cal and Elle together. I hope there are more Central State books to come.
