Kouji is a cheerful and superficial seeming high school student. One day, he and his friends come across a small boy who returns their ball to them, saying, "The ball said not to use your nails so much." His friends assume the boy's just being weird, but Kouji suspects the boy possesses the same power he once possessed - name being able to hear the voices of people, animals and things just by touching. He and the boy - Daichi - become friends, and Kouji, who always hated his power, slowly begins to reconsider.
I really enjoyed this - it reminded me a bit of "Natsume's Book of Friends", but the setting and the characters were different enough for it not to feel like a copy. Also, Daichi is really, really adorable. I'm glad I already ordered the next two volumes. ~
