Childhood best friends/neighbours find their love for each other by fake dating each other ♥️

Pick it up if you want to read a bit of a funny + steamy romance story which you might find hard to connect with as a whole book.

I picked up this book on a whim after reading the synopsis. And obviously I love the curvy FMC thing, which made me pick this up. Even though I love all the tropes of this book unfortunately this book as a whole didn't work out for me.

Trixie is a librarian who loves her job and is very content living her life with her cock & hens cute little home. She gets assigned a school reunion fundraiser event where she has to face the mean girls of her high school. She is happy in the way she is yet she has her own kind of fights to fight for that has effects on her life.

Chris is the legacy quarterback yet stumbles in the presence of Trixie. He is handsome & rich. But his unrequited love for Trixie is something that overpowers his love for anything.

Trixie's situation makes her ask Chris for a fake date for the reunion and Chris finds the perfect opportunity to make her fall in love with him & to make her understand his love for her. They enter a fake dating arrangement that they realise has turned to real dating at one point then the find their forever kind of love

Adding to this the Chris's adorable family of his dad & siblings and Trixie carefree & confident mom  And all the drama that comes with this.

I really liked the characters from her best friend to Chris's team mates that is more like a found family. I loved how they made Trixie feel welcomed & stood by her immediately.

And I really like the sex positivity topic this book has tried to speak about.

If I think about this book into pieces of characters & moments that are adorable, steamy & funny this book was a okay read. But honestly as a whole book, I felt so hard to connect. The potential for that was immense even though it was explored but it was not deep enough.

Easily could have been my DNF. I rarely do it so I pushed through to finish this one. But I'm not picking up anything in this series rite now.
