Two thirds through this book I was a little bit bored tbh. I love a sapphic romance so I was gonna stick it through, but I was aware going into the book that it was supposed to be like dark and edgy so I was kinda disappointed when all we got was a kinda toxic relationship between two characters I did not care about. BUT THEN!!!!!!!!! Then it had all of my favorite tropes and gagged me and had me screaming and cackling and gasping out loud.
This novel is obviously dark and gory, and so I do wish that if they were willing to go into details about the gore stuff, they would have just also gone into the details of the sex lol like I’m not normally one who’s super picky about smut or even really wanting it in novels, but this one kinda left me hanging in that regard but then didn’t seem to spare any details when it got to the dark stuff. Like just go all the way ya know?
