King of Pride by Ana Huang

Did not finish book. Stopped at 68%.
I just don't like them. Opposites attract is usually a trope I enjoy, but they don't make any sense together. We don't spend enough time with them as friends before their fucking for me to truely believe they actually like each now.

Also the FMC just felt so "look at me I'm cooky and that's all the personality you'll get from me." Like I get it... she likes true crime and has purple hair. Her backstory is extremely similar to Vivienne from the last book (pressure to make the family proud) so the one thing that gave her any actual depth fell flat. And if I heard one more time about her years long writers block for her dumbasss book I was gonna scream.

And Kai was just such a forgettable MMC. He was supposed to be controlling and serious but he was never either of those things. For a character whose deadly sin is Pride, he never had any. Further, for a Sin that is almost always represented by the Devil, he was just too boring nice.

I loved the twisted series, but so far everything I loved about Anas previous book has yet to show its of in this series.
