The Bookish Life of Nina Hill by Abbi Waxman
4.0
i read a lot of books about people who love books, and this has got to be one of my favorites. i love how the main character and her family all had their quirks, and i think that this book has a unique sense of humor and self-assured confidence that the author needed to make the story work. i loved nina as a main character, her somewhat useless (but always interesting) knowledge and her passion for books and her love for being alone really brought me closer to this bookish main character. i think the main reason that i gave this a 4.5 stars was that the whole book felt like 500 days of summer, and i don't know why, and i love that movie but i have major beef with tom and the fact that the love interest's name is tom irked me. also the romance was not big in this one, but in this sense it made sense for the plot because this was less of a rom com and more of a literary fiction. regardless, i loved the vibes and would recommend for the book lovers. 4.5 ⭐️.
