Thief by Tarryn Fisher
5.0
I meant to review this back when I read it but I was still dealing with the fact the end was spoiled for me via someones status update. That being said, I also went back to review it but I can't find the book on my phone anymore which means all my highlights, notes etc. are not there and two bummers bums me out.
What I will say is Tarryn Fisher is a freaking beautiful evil genius and the girl can write her ass off. She has delivered one hell of a mind fuck with her Love Me With Lies series; each book getting better and better. I had waited for Caleb's story, this boy had some 'splainin' to do and he finally does. If I didn't love Caleb through The Opportunist and Dirty Red I am in full on insatiable lust mode after being in his head.
I love that the story continued, yet as in Dirty Red we get WTF was going on during college, the trial...just everything and we FINALLY got to know what happened when Olivia walked in the room and saw...ugh. If only, right? If only they just freaking communicated at that moment, but, if they did, we wouldn't have this story now would we?
Thief was a great conclusion to a fantastic series. The wait was more than worth it to get the full story. Yes, even suffering through Leah and frozen peas was worth it if it meant we finally get to hear from Caleb. I loved his voice, I loved his passion, I even loved his major screw ups but all that was revealed, all that we got was simple perfection.
I have to say, I ADORE how Ms. Fisher brought this story back around. One of the quotes that stuck with me, that I used in my review of The Opportunist, knowing what I do about that scene now...absolutely brilliant work. That is all.
