I read this back in school, and don’t remember particularly liking it. All I remember is working on a map of the island with my Mom. I’m not sure what made me re-read this now, but I really liked it. Karana’s relationships with her animals, especially Rontu, was really touching, and I always like a good survival story. This was very well done! I just wanted to hear more about what happened to her after.
