But if you want to know how long I really think a person can stay asleep, the answer is: a whole life.

a queer literary road trip novel that i absolutely wanted to adore more than i did. part two is where this novel shines, and the artistic growth and inspiration bernie and leah find on their trip is what any artists wishes for. to find that shimmer and to keep finding it is simply gold.

the rest of it gets a little lost on me and doesn’t vibe with me as much as i hoped, but it’s still a nice read.
