I always love reading Garcia Marquez, he had such a gift for overwhelming me as a reader and just surrendering to the flow of time. This short novel is no exception, his characters are always going to have such a life on the page that you have to accept their actions without judgment and hope they end well. Ana Magdalena is no exception, as she searches for some sense of destiny or love you just stand by as the reader and enjoy her delight and worry for her.
