Happy Place by Emily Henry
4.0
I enjoyed my low stakes break into a light romance. And I think Emily Henry is perfect for that. She’s a good writer that makes her characters interesting, relatable and most importantly, not just ridiculously dumb at one point just to add a miscommunication conflict in the 3rd act.
The main pair are both really compelling and have good reason to act the way they do, and the group dynamic seems so fun, while also having a very relatable issue at the core that reveals itself nicely in the last third.
A nice break from fantasy. If you read romance, read EH.
