The Infinity Between Us
by N.S. Perkins
I don't know. I enjoyed this, yes, but it also wasn't perfect.
If you're looking for a simple, dual timeline, childhood friends to lovers summer read, then yes, this fits all that criteria! Violet and Will were a sweet couple and this hurt a lot. I'm not gonna lie, it tugging at my heart strings a little. It followed their relationship over the course of a few years, etc, one ultimate fallout, of course, etc. You can turn your brain off and easily fall into this book and that's what I liked about it! Will had his sweetheart moments I loved, but he also had those moments of desperation that added tension and dimension to him since we don't get his POV. He was the best part of this book. and I've been to Ogunquit, Maine so I was reliving vicariously through that experience. It was the perfect vibe for summer.
With that being said, my biggest problem was with Violet. I found her to be pretty immature and I had a hard time believing some of the things she said/did were true. I understand this self-sabotage, self-destructive decision. Hell, I've been there myself!!! But at the same time own what you're doing or stop it.
