DNF. god awful. Like if you took a Carl hiassen mystery (which I do enjoy) and made every character as boring as a rock. Plus the repetitive fragmented writing. I can’t believe I stayed with the audiobook for this long.
I would accuse him of not developing his single female character but it turns out he doesn’t develop ANY character. Equal opportunity. That doesn’t mean he escapes the misogyny allegations though because the entire intro to the female cop/love interest is about how tight her uniform is over her breasts. I would say he breast’s feature as one of her most defined and described attributes. Horrible stuff.
