Emily Henry and I have had a rocky relationship. After falling in love with Augustus and January in Beach Read, I wasted no time picking up People We Meet on Vacation and Book Lovers. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the hype for either of those, so yes, I was hesitant as to whether or not I’d even pick up Happy Place.
I not only read Happy Place, but I LOVED Happy Place. I was so invested in Wyn and Harriet’s relationship from the moment they first met and watching them fight their way back to each other had me all up in my feels. The friendships, the flashbacks, the atmosphere - it all came together to create a messy, imperfectly perfect story.
