How Far the Light Reaches: A Life in Ten Sea Creatures by Sabrina Imbler
i think this memoir was a beautifully done juxtaposition. not every section was my favorite and sometimes the comparisons were a reach, but the ones that were done well were really phenomenal. the beginning of the book stood out the most to me in terms of how well Imbler related her childhood to her knowledge now. the octopus, sturgeon, and goldfish chapters genuinely blew me away, but it begun to lose me later on. regardless of my opinion, i think this memoir is really important and well done and it takes a high level of understanding of yourself and another topic to be able to interweave them the way this author did.
