Daughter of Smoke & Bone by Laini Taylor

5.0

This is a reread from over 12 years ago; I remember falling in love with this book and Karou and wanting blue hair and hamsa tattoos on my palm. It’s such an imaginative, inventive world with a lot of Jewish imagery woven throughout. This is one of the books that I credit with my love of reading, and I’m happy to be revisiting it so many years later!
