Was hesitant about reading this book because as much as I am a huge fan Ali Hazelwood’s STEM series, fantasy stories are always more difficult to get into. The worldbuilding took a while to get used to but what I found the hardest to understand was all the political aspects of the story – which was actually a whole lot. By the end of the book, there were some parts I still didn’t fully comprehend so it felt a bit incomplete.
Lowe and Misery’s relationship development was cute but I hated how the focus was more around the Were-Vampyre-Human politics than the actual relationship. I understand the politics set the tone for the entire story but it’s just I don’t understand a whole lot of it.
